You may have seen some videos of Africans (especially children) celebrating people's birthdays, which is very popular in China. Many similar services have been offered on Chinese shopping platforms before.
At first glance, do you think it seems to be a normal service？But there are many problems behind it.
The company sells these “funny and interesting” videos at a not-so-cheap price, which can earn it more than $10,000 per day, while the kids can only get $0.50 or some snacks for their hard work. What’s more, there are issues of human exploitation and child abuse. After a Youtuber uploaded these videos to YouTube, they attracted a lot of attention, and reporters from the BBC got to the bottom of it.
How to define racial discrimination？
Is it a manifestation of invisible racism for people to buy such videos?
