About the event

Each country varies in their population characteristics and racial progress, but we can see a lot of support for both increasing racial equality or inequality and its effects on voting. While some could argue that racial equality greatly expanded with the enfranchisement of African American men, others could argue that institutions are inherently racist and they have split races up through institutional discrimination. The question of voting has been debated by both sides, arguing either the debate depends on the candidate/politicians themselves or the race of the voter. This forum topic gives participants a chance to think about how race could affect politics and how any varying factor could influence a person’s decision.
